Downpatrick Race Course

Horse racing has taken place in Downpatrick for over 300 years and has been held at the current site for over 200 years.  The course is 1.25 miles in length and has seen many National Hunt champions.  The course is just one mile outside of Downpatrick and is easily reached from Dundrum.  When leaving Dundrum head towards Belfast and you will quickly reach Clough.  At Clough roundabout take the second exit, signed Downpatrick, and you will eventually see Downpatrick racecourse on the right hand side before reaching Downpatrick itself.
